We love the people at the station they just were gracious enough to have me on their daytime show to talk about our fundraiser and it was fun!
Very professional and the television personalities are fantastic and friendly, WGN-TV is in my book as 1 news team in the Chicago land
We had a wonderful time as musical guests on today's midday fix.
We recently attended a taping of Pat Tomasulo's new show on Saturday nights and had an interesting time. There was very little organization to help people get from the parking lot to the waiting area. Then the announce that we are heading to the studio to tape the show. About 20 or so people had been standing in line at the back of the room because they knew where to go so we got in line too right when we got there so we would have good seats inside. I was SO disappointed by the reaction of all of the "adults" that were there to see the show that were all but knocking people down to cut in the line or just go in front of everyone. The disappointing part was that WGN staff members that were in the room could care less about the people that had been standing and waiting in line from the beginning and said nothing when people attempted to jump in front. After dealing with the rude line jumpers myself, we were walked down a very dilapidated hall (ceiling tiles were missing and wires were hanging out, lots of random garbage to walk around in the hall). We did pass the Bozo painting and studio where the show was taped and that was fun. Pat Tomasulo's Man Of The People show was actually very good and we had a great time at the taping. I honestly was happy that our taping was not too political, but I know that happens at some shows so if you are offended by comments you have been warned. Overall, it was a good time, but I actually felt bad at how dilapidated the building was inside. At least the parts we saw. WGN is a Chicago staple and I would love to see it remodeled and given some attention. If you do come for a taping, be prepared to defend you spot in line. It wasn't pretty.
My wife was sent to Alden Northmoor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at 5731 N. Northwest HWY. She bein there for about 2 weeks and they tell me that she fall on the floor where there's rugs everywhere on have no camera to see what really happened! I been with Nilda Davila for about 50 years and that I know of she never fell on the floor, ever ! She developed dementia and early alzheimers but she's not that far off, we can have conversation but seem to forget something. Just have to have patience with her. She says that she was with a friend and that friend was with another friend and they started fighting! I was there before like 4 days ago and I saw this lady, " a patience ", and started fighting with a man on a wheelchair and the nurse separated her from him ,I told the nurse that you need to check her for starting the fight with the man on the wheelchair! I feel that my wife is not safe there after seeing her face ! I don't know what to do after seeing her face!
I've been there a couple of times. Really nice atmosphere. They're lucky to work there.
@shytownmusic made my friday. had "candy paint" in my head for the rest of the day.
Was on the the Politics Tonight Show with Paul Lisnek. Great time as always.
This is an icon of Chicago. The staff and crew are some of the best in the world. The green room is always well stocked with food and drinks (Coffee and water) and the security will do everything to help you get what you need. A true pleasure to visit and watch WGN
Played a couple of songs to promote upcoming Bluesfest performance. Staff was extremely professional and friendly. They were already prepared for us with rough mic placements, DI, etc. Quick sound check and we were good to go.
